Les Bowers is one of the nation’s leading plaintiff’s attorneys in cases of medical malpractice, drug injury, catastrophic personal injury, and products liability.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Les is committed to advocating for those who have been harmed by the negligence of others, and holding large corporations accountable. He has earned a reputation of meticulously preparing cases with solid foundations in medical evidence, expert opinions, and rigorous research. He ensures each case he undertakes is thoroughly vetted, grounded in scientific validity and medical consensus. He guarantees personal attention and counsel for every client. Les is also recognized for his contributions as a speaker, educating his peers and medical professionals on the complexities of medical malpractice law.
In his practice dealing with catastrophic personal injuries, Les pays particular attention to victims of severe trauma, with a keen focus on issues relating to pharmaceuticals, medical negligence, food safety, incidents involving tractor trailers, and residential fire and burn injuries.
Raised in Southwest Virginia, Les’s upbringing in his family’s small business and on his grandparents’ farm instilled in him the principles of diligence and resilience. As a trial lawyer, Les has secured some of the highest jury awards in Virginia’s legal history, with notable verdicts in Danville and Fairfax, among others, as well as achieving numerous multi-million dollar settlements. His legal ability has been recognized through various awards and by his active participation in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, contributions to journals, and engagements at legal seminars.
When not practicing law, Les cherishes time with his family, exploring a wide range of hobbies from cycling and golf to training his bird dog. He is passionate about outdoor activities, reading non-fiction, motorcycle riding, and the restoration and racing of vintage automobiles.
